1st Wheels Car Sales Ltd – Dealership Sales Policy & Terms
1. Vehicles & MOT
● All vehicles are advertised with 12 Months MOT.
● This means that once a deposit is received, the vehicle will be taken for an MOT, ensuring it has a full 12 months MOT from the date of collection.
2. Ownership & Title
● Ownership of the vehicle remains with the dealership until full payment has been received and cleared.
● Title and registration will be transferred to the buyer once payment is completed and all necessary documentation has been signed.
● Vehicles cannot be removed from the dealership premises until full payment has cleared in the dealership’s account.
3. Online Reservation
● To reserve a vehicle online, a 10% deposit of the total purchase price is required.
● This deposit secures the vehicle for 48 hours, unless a written agreement is made to hold the vehicle for a longer period.
Deposit Terms:
● The online reservation deposit is refundable only if the buyer attends the agreed appointment and, after viewing the vehicle in person, decides the car is not to their liking.
● If the buyer proceeds to purchase the vehicle, the online reservation deposit will be deducted from the total sales price.
● If the buyer fails to attend the appointment, the online reservation deposit will be retained by 1st Wheels Car Sales Ltd to cover administration costs and potential loss of sale.
● Once the vehicle has been viewed in person and the buyer confirms their intent to purchase, the deposit becomes non-refundable.
4. In-Person Deposit
For buyers reserving or committing to purchase after viewing the vehicle in person:
● A 10% deposit of the total purchase price is required to secure the vehicle.
● This deposit is non-refundable once the customer has viewed the vehicle and left the deposit.
● Once the deposit has been received and the buyer has agreed to proceed, the vehicle will be taken for an MOT, ensuring it has a full 12-month MOT certificate on the date of collection.
● Full payment must be completed prior to vehicle collection.
● The vehicle must be collected within 7 days of full payment unless otherwise agreed in writing.
● Failure to collect within this period may result in the vehicle being relisted, and any deposit retained to cover associated costs.
5. Payment
● Full payment of the vehicle must be made prior to delivery or collection.
Payment Notes:
● Recommended Method: When collecting a vehicle in person at 1st Wheels Car Sales Ltd, we recommend sending payment via bank transfer prior to collection to avoid potential delays caused by mobile banking or fraud checks.
● Should you wish to wait to send payment until collection in person, we advise setting up 1st Wheels Car Sales Ltd as a payee and sending £1 as a test payment before transferring the full balance, to minimise any delay or fraud checks caused by mobile banking.
● Vehicles cannot leave the premises until full payment has cleared in the dealership’s account.
● Accepted methods of payment include bank transfer, debit card, or approved finance arrangements with a third-party broker, such as Car Money Finance or Zuto.
● We do not accept any credit card payments or American Express.
● Any returned or dishonoured payments will void the sale and may incur administrative fees.
6. Vehicle Condition
● The buyer confirms that they have personally viewed the vehicle in person prior to purchase and are satisfied with its overall condition, including both mechanical and bodywork aspects.
● All vehicles receive a Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) / Vehicle Health Check prior to sale to ensure the vehicle is fit for purpose and meets a satisfactory quality standard.
● A copy of the PDI report can be emailed to the buyer upon request.
● Unless otherwise stated in writing, all vehicles are sold “as seen” and “as is”, except for the warranty terms described below and any statutory rights under UK law.
7. 30-Day Warranty
● All vehicles sold by 1st Wheels Car Sales Ltd include a 30-day dealership warranty covering major mechanical and drivetrain components, commencing from the date of delivery or collection.
Warranty Conditions:
● Warranty work must be carried out by 1st Wheels Car Sales Ltd or a repairer authorised in writing by the dealership.
● It is the buyer’s responsibility to return the vehicle to 1st Wheels Car Sales Ltd for any warranty inspection or repair.
● This warranty does not cover wear-and-tear items, routine maintenance, or damage caused by misuse, neglect, or continued use after a fault develops.

8. Test Drive Confirmation
● The buyer confirms that they have either:
(a) Test driven the vehicle, or
(b) Been offered the opportunity to test drive the vehicle,
● Prior to paying the remaining invoice balance, and are satisfied that the vehicle meets their expectations.
9. Taxes & Fees
● All prices include VAT where applicable and any statutory fees as itemised on this invoice.
- Additional Notes:
● Vehicles sold under the VAT Margin Scheme are subject to VAT on the dealer’s margin only. VAT on the vehicle price is not reclaimable by the buyer.
● Registration fees and road tax remain the responsibility of the buyer unless otherwise stated.
10. Part Exchange
Upon agreeing to part exchange a vehicle with 1st Wheels Car Sales Ltd:
● Ownership of the part exchange vehicle immediately transfers to 1st Wheels Car Sales Ltd.
● Should the buyer opt for a refund, the part exchange vehicle will be non-retrievable once the transaction is finalised.
● The seller confirms that they are the lawful owner of the part exchange vehicle or are authorised to sell it, and that the price allowed for the part exchange vehicle on the invoice is accurate.
11. Delivery & Buyer Confirmation
By receiving or accepting this invoice, the buyer confirms that:
● They are the lawful purchaser of the vehicle described herein.
● They have taken delivery of, or collected, the vehicle in satisfactory condition.
● They are over 18 years of age.
● They understand that it is their responsibility to return the vehicle to 1st Wheels Car Sales Ltd in the event that a statutory repair is required, or if they wish to exercise their statutory right to reject the vehicle under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
12. Returns & Statutory Rights
● This sale is final.
● However, this does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights under UK consumer law.
● Any request for repair, replacement, or rejection must be made directly to 1st Wheels Car Sales Ltd, and the vehicle must be returned to the dealership for inspection.
13. Limitation of Liability
● The dealership’s total liability under this sale shall not exceed the purchase price of the vehicle.
● The dealership accepts no responsibility for incidental or consequential losses once the vehicle has been collected or delivered.
