At 1st Wheels Car Sales, we are committed to providing you with a high-quality used vehicle and ensuring your satisfaction. Our warranty policy offers you peace of mind for a period of 30 days or 1,000 miles, whichever comes first. Please take the time to review the full terms and conditions of the warranty coverage, exclusions, and the process for warranty claims.


Warranty Coverage

1st Wheels Car Sales LTD provides a 30-day warranty on all vehicles sold, covering the following components:

Powertrain: Engine, transmission, and drivetrain (including driveshafts, axles, and differential).

Electrical System: Alternator, starter motor, and battery.

Fuel System: Fuel pump, fuel injectors, and fuel lines.

Cooling System: Radiator, water pump, and related cooling hoses.

This warranty covers both parts and labour for defects arising from normal use during the warranty period.

Warranty Exclusions

The following items are excluded from the 1st Wheels Car Sales warranty:

Routine Maintenance: This warranty does not cover regular maintenance services, such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake pads, air filters, or wiper blades.

Wear and Tear: Parts that naturally wear out due to use, such as tires, brake pads, belts, wiper blades, light bulbs, and other components subject to regular wear and tear.

Damage from Misuse or Negligence: Any damage caused by improper use, neglect, accidents, off-road driving, or failure to maintain the vehicle properly is excluded.

Cosmetic Damage: The warranty does not cover damage to the bodywork, paint, upholstery, glass, or interior features.

Aftermarket Modifications: Any damage or issues caused by aftermarket parts or modifications made to the vehicle without prior consent from 1st Wheels Car Sales.

Pre-existing Conditions: Any issues that existed before the vehicle was purchased or were disclosed at the time of purchase are not covered.

DPF Filter: The Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) is excluded from the warranty.

Broken CV Boots: Any issues with or damage to the CV (Constant Velocity) boots are excluded.

Tyres: Tyres are not covered under this warranty.

Incorrect Fuel: Damage caused by the use of incorrect fuel, such as filling a petrol engine with diesel or vice versa, is excluded.

Important Terms and Conditions

Authorised Repairs: All repair and diagnostic work covered under this warranty must be carried out by an approved mechanic designated by 1st Wheels Car Sales. Customers must obtain prior consent from 1st Wheels Car Sales before any work is carried out.

Unauthorised Repairs: If any repair or diagnostic work is done without prior consent from 1st Wheels Car Sales, the warranty will be void. This is because diagnosing a fault can become difficult once another mechanic has attempted to repair the vehicle. As such, any warranty claims for that issue will not be honoured, and the customer will be solely responsible for the costs of any work done.

Right to Use Used Parts: In the event of a repair, 1st Wheels Car Sales reserves the right to use like-for-like used parts before using new parts. New parts will only be used if a suitable used part is unavailable or deemed unsuitable for the repair.

Refund Policy: Refunds require 14 working days for the funds to be processed & the following deduction will apply

Mileage Deduction: £0.40 per mile driven will be deducted from the refund amount.

Damage Deduction: Any damage to the bodywork, alloy wheels, or interior that was not present at the time of sale will be deducted from the refund.

Valet Fee: A £60 valet fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

Warranty Claim Process: In the event of a warranty claim, the customer is responsible for returning the vehicle to 1st Wheels Car Sales LTD or an approved garage designated by 1st Wheels Car Sales for inspection and repairs. No courtesy vehicle will be provided during the warranty claim process.

Vehicle Operation

For the safety and longevity of your vehicle, it is important to not drive the vehicle if the engine light is illuminated or if there are indications of low coolant or oil levels. Continuing to operate the vehicle under these conditions may lead to further damage and could result in the warranty being voided.

Extended Warranty Offer

As part of your vehicle purchase, 1st Wheels Car Sales has offered you an extended warranty provided by Warranty Solutions Group. However, you have opted for the standard 30-day warranty directly through 1st Wheels Car Sales, instead of purchasing the extended warranty.



Transferability and Limitation of Liability

Non-transferable: This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser of the vehicle. It cannot be transferred to future owners.

Limitation of Liability: 1st Wheels Car Sales is not liable for any incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the failure of the vehicle, including but not limited to loss of use, inconvenience, or any costs associated with alternative transportation or rental vehicles.

Summary of Key Points

Warranty Duration: 30 days or 1,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Covered Components: Powertrain, electrical system, fuel system, and cooling system (parts and labor).

Exclusions: Routine maintenance, wear and tear, misuse, cosmetic damage, aftermarket modifications, pre-existing conditions, DPF filter, broken CV boots, tyres, and incorrect fuel.

Authorised Repairs: All repairs must be carried out by an approved mechanic designated by 1st Wheels Car Sales.

Void Warranty: Unauthorized repairs will void the warranty.

Right to Use Used Parts: 1st Wheels Car Sales may use like-for-like used parts before considering new parts.

Refund Policy: Refunds subject to mileage, damage deductions, and a £60 valet fee.

Vehicle Return: The customer is responsible for returning the vehicle to 1st Wheels Car Sales LTD or an approved garage for warranty claims. No courtesy vehicle will be provided.

Vehicle Operation: Operating the vehicle with engine light illumination or low coolant/oil levels may void the warranty.

By purchasing a vehicle from 1st Wheels Car Sales, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions of this warranty policy.
